FRITZ DORIGO
Guitarist, Bassist, Keyboardist, Drummer, Songwriter, Arranger, Transcriber, Music Director, Teacher, Studio Musician
——————— – - -

Born in Hollywood Florida, Fritz Dorigo grew up with music all around him. From his Fisher-Price record player to his father’s LP’s and 8-Tracks, Fritz was inspired at an early age to pick up a musical instrument. Before he landed on guitar at age 12, Fritz would pick up his tennis racquet as a kid and pretend to jam along with his favorite songs, not knowing that one day he would have his own guitar collection. Although he played the snare drum in his middle school band, Fritz’s real calling was the guitar. From the age of 12 and on, Fritz and his guitar were always inseparable.

Fritz had the good fortune of participating in the Chaminade High School Jazz Band under the direction of Jack Mareck. This musical education gave him all the impetus that he needed to become a professional musician; at age of 16, Fritz formed his first original band which proceeded to perform in a slew of South Florida’s popular rock clubs. Fritz’s musical education continued onto college where he graduated from Barry University with a degree in Music Performance with a minor in Business Management.

Fritz began teaching private guitar lessons at the age of 24. From 1995-2004, Fritz was the guitarist for the band CREASE. After recording and self-releasing a CD/ep, CREASE was signed to Roadrunner Records. CREASE’s debut CD, “Vindication” was released in 2000, which was followed by tours of the US and Canada. Their song “Frustration” became a staple at rock radio across the US, Canada and Europe. After a final CD release in 2004, the group went their separate ways.

Currently, Fritz teaches privately (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano) to select number of students and is also currently the guitarist in the Jim Camacho Band. As time permits, Fritz records and performs with various projects around South Florida.
